Title:
Thermal Bonding Methods - Level 1: For Complete Beginners
Duration: 2 day course
Cost: £900 [+ VAT for UK students]

Many technicians have traditionally trained on a thermal bonding system, whether that be using a special glue-gun or pot to melt down resin which is then used to apply hair extension strands to their clients own or using pre-bonded keratin extensions.

Often referred to as Micro-Bonding, these thermal resin-bonded extensions can be used to add overall length and volume or simply highlight natural hair. They can be worn by clients for up to three months, after which it is advised that clients return to their technician to have them removed and replaced to ensure their natural hair is kept in its best condition.

You should be able to conduct a full client consultation; be able to price your service correctly; order hair in the correct amounts; style and colour; offer your clients complete advice and guidance on what living with extensions will mean to them; how they should care for and maintain their new extensions; and how to safely remove bonded extensions.

What is included in the training kit?
Pre-bonded Keratin extensions, a heat connector, a disconnector, a glue gun, glue sticks, loose human hair, silicone pads, protector pads and an American Dream colour ring are included within the training pack. The course also includes a training mannequin block, consultation form and fact sheets and product information to take away.

Upon successful qualification, which includes passing practical work, students are sent a certificate as proof of their new skills. Certificates, which are AD School and HABIA stamped, normally arrive within 21 days of course completion.
